New congressional and state senate districts maps have been finalized. On the ballot this year are NY Gov./Lt Gov., US Senate, members of the House of Representatives, NY State Senate and Assembly.
There are lots of changes voters need to know. Here is a breakdown of some information.
JUNE PRIMARY CRUCIAL DATES AND DEADLINES: June 3: Voter registration deadline June 8: Change of address due to Board of Elections (BOE) June 13: Absentee ballot application due to BOE June 18 to 26: Early voting June 28: Mail in Absentee Ballot June 28: Primary Election Day 6am-9pm
AUGUST PRIMARY & SPECIAL ELECTION CRUCIAL DATES AND DEADLINES: July 29: Voter registration deadline August 3: Change of address due to Board of Elections August 8: Absentee ballot application due to BOE August 13 to 21: Early voting August 23: Mail-in Absentee Ballot August 23: Special Election/Primary Election Day 6am-9pm
GENERAL ELECTION CRUCIAL DATES AND DEADLINES: October 14: Voter registration deadline October 19: Change of address due to Board of Elections October 24: Absentee ballot application due to BOE October 29 to November 6: Early Voting days (locations/hours TBA) November 8: Mail in Absentee Ballot November 8: Election Day 6am-9pm
